Be Prepared for the Upgrade

    BOB will be unavailable on September 24, 2012 due to the upgrade
  • Once the upgrade is complete, you will be able to log into your online banking from Belvoir Federal’s Web site via a tethered login on the home page
  • For the initial login, you will use your current username (account number) and password that you use now to log onto your online banking. You will be prompted to change your username and password upon first login

New Bill Pay

    Bill Pay will be unavailable beginning September 17, 2012 through September 24, 2012 due to the upgrade
  • Since Bill Pay will be down for a week, please ensure you have scheduled all necessary payments beforehand
  • Please note: any eBill, PopMoney, and/or alert information that you have set up in the existing Bill Pay will not transfer with the new Bill Pay. These will need to be set up again, so be sure to print out the correlating information related to each eBill, PopMoney, or alert that you currently have set up
  • All payee information and scheduled payments (including reoccurring payments) will transfer to the new Bill Pay
  • All scheduled payments for September 17, 2012 through September 24, 2012 will be processed as scheduled

FAQ’s – Belvoir Online Banking

Why is Belvoir Federal changing their online banking and bill pay?

Belvoir Federal is upgrading our online banking (BOB) and bill pay platform in order to provide our members with the most up-to-date technological advances, security advancements, and enhanced online banking experience. For more details, please view any of our communication pieces to the right of this screen under Important Communications.

How will members get to the New & Improved BOB?

To log in to the New & Improved BOB, members will simply go to Belvoir Federal’s Web site ( and sign in with their username and password directly from the home page of the Web site.

After your first logon, you will be prompted to change your username and password for security purposes as well as set up MFA (multifactor-authentication) questions.

You will also be asked to create questions and answers in order for you to be able to reset your own password in the event you do not remember your password.

How will members enroll in BOB?

If you are already a member, then simply use your current username and password to login to the New & Improved BOB.

If you are not a member of Belvoir Federal Credit Union, then your new account will be set up in a branch, on the phone, or online. After your account has been successfully opened, our representatives will assist you in accessing your online banking and bill pay.

How long does it take before I receive credit for an institution to institution transfer?

Generally, it takes up to 2 days for an ACH transaction to completely post. At the earliest, you would receive credit the next business day (M-F).

Will I be able to see holds in BOB?

Authorized holds will be viewable via three different access points within the new BOB. These areas include viewing the holds within the transaction history, clicking on the “Services” tab and then on “View holds”, and finally by clicking on the “My BOB” tab and then on “View holds”.

How do I reset a password in the New BOB?

The New BOB allows you to reset your password in the event that you forget your password. In order to reset your password, you must first set up questions and answers in the settings section of online banking.

Once you have these questions and answers created, you are able to reset your password. On the login screen, you will see a link that takes you to the screen with the questions you created. Simply, insert your answers and you will be able to reset your password.

Will the New BOB platform support iPad technology?

Yes, the New BOB will be able to support iPad technology. The only item that will not be accessible via the iPad will be the Personal Finance Manager (PFM), accessible through the “My Finance” tab.

Can I do a stop payment through the New BOB?

Yes, you will be able to place a stop payment in the New BOB and the same $30 fee will apply.

FAQ’s – Bill Pay

What is Bill Pay?

Bill Pay is a service that allows you to pay virtually anyone or any company through your Belvoir Online Banking (BOB) account. You determine who you want to pay, when you want to make the payment, and which account you want the payment to come from within your accounts.

What will the New & Improved Bill Pay Offer?

There will be more than 3,500 popular payee options for you to choose from or you have the flexibility to set up your own payee information.

You will be able to view your Bill Pay in a dashboard style-interface which displays your recent transactions, scheduled transactions, shortcut icon to pay bills, message center, and popular payees all in one location, right when you log in to your New Bill Pay.

Members can now schedule electronic notifications that alert you, via email or text message, that you have a recurring transaction processing, a new message waiting for you, a transfer account is approved, a pay from account is approved, a transaction exceeds a specified amount, a recurring notification, and/or set up a personal reminder.

Now, you have the option of paying a bill, a person, a charity, and a gift recipient. The gift recipient option allows you to schedule single or recurring deposits to people for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, or just because. This new feature, even allows you to personalize the message that is attached to the monetary gift.

You will also be able to track and schedule single or recurring payments in just a few steps and you will never worry about missing a bill or incurring late fees.

Who can I pay with Bill Pay?

You can pay virtually any business or individual with a mailing address within the United States and Puerto Rico. For example, you can pay utilities, cable bills, credit cards, or individuals such as your landlord, babysitter, or relative.

The first time you set up a payee, you will need the address where the payment will be mailed. You can find the mailing address on your most recent paper bill.

How are online payments delivered?

Payments are sent one of two ways – electronically or paper check. The majority of payments are delivered electronically. Your payment information, such as your account number, is sent via secure transmission. All other payments are made by paper check that is mailed via the U.S. Postal Service.

Will I have a separate password for Bill Pay?

No. To access Bill Pay, simply sign on to Belvoir Online Banking, using your BOB ID and password. Then, click on the “Bill Pay” tab. This automatically links you to the Bill Pay service where you will register and agree to the terms and conditions.

When will funds be withdrawn from my account?

If the payment is made by check, funds will be withdrawn from your Belvoir Federal checking account once the payee negotiates the check.

If payments are sent electronically, the funds will be withdrawn from your Belvoir Federal checking account on the process date. The deliver by date is the date selected by you when you schedule the payment. When the deliver by date is selected, the system will provide a process date, which is when the funds will come out of your checking account.

Electronic payments typically allow one to two business days between process date and the date that the payment is estimated to be received. Payment by check typically allows three to five business days between the process date and the date that the check is estimated to be received by the payee.

How will I enroll in Bill Pay?

If you had Bill Pay before the upgrade, then you will already be set up in the New & Improved Bill Pay.

If you did not have Bill Pay prior to September 4, 2012, then you will need to enroll. You do this by logging into the New & Improved BOB (Belvoir Online Banking) and click on the Bill Pay tab at the top. This will lead you to a short enrollment area. What are eBills?

eBills provide Belvoir Federal Bill Pay subscribers with the ability to receive bill summary information from eligible payees, whereby members can receive their bill information and payment methods directly on Bill Pay.
